Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
This Iraqi couple who live in Leeds are expecting a baby in the summer and ask for £120 to purchase a used pram and accessories with a buggy board for their older child. They are getting some help for items from the Leeds Baby Bank, but are unable to resource or afford these items. They are housed in very restricted housing with a large family and desperate to have what they need to take their children to school and manage with a newborn. Please can you help this couple and their children to have what they need, as savings are depleted?
Still £70 left to donate
Total needed £120This client is a single parent with three young children. Their property has issues with damp and mould, primarily in the storage areas. Mum is waiting for the council to deal with the issue, but fears the mould spores will cause her children's clothes to become mouldy and negatively effect their health. We have provided them with advice and two hydrometers to keep an eye on humidity levels. However, a dehumidifier will help keep the area free of mould so mum can store things safely.
