£0 remaining for carpet fitting
R, a single mum of two children, has fled an abusive relationship. She has multiple disabilities, alongside post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. After a period in a women's refuge, R has now been supported into a new home. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings as she has spent what she had on furnishings and white goods for her house. Floor coverings would turn R's house into a home, help her mental health and give her the fresh start she is desperate for.
C, a single mum with one child, has a number of psychical disabilities including bulging discs and a trapped sciatic nerve. Her only income is from disability benefits and she has no savings. C has no carpets in her bedrooms, hallway and kitchen. Carpeting her home will impact hugely on her mental health and overall wellbeing. We have an offer of free carpets, but need help with fitting costs. Any support would be very gratefully received.
C is currently living in a two bedroomed house with her daughters, but there are no floor coverings anywhere in the house. Due to the condition of her property, Social Services has removed her children and given her an action plan to enable her to get them back. This includes carpeting the house and C will never be able to do this without help, as her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings. Please can you help us to bring this family back together?
B is a single mum of two fleeing domestic violence. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings. Mum has effectively had to start her home again from scratch, which has been a real challenge. The house she is now living in has no floor coverings down, which is far from ideal as her children are very active and there is a risk of injury. We have an offer of free carpets, but need help with the fitting costs. Any financial support would be very gratefully received.
