£0 remaining for a chest of drawers
Mum is a single parent caring for her two children. Their family home is very overcrowded and there are concerns around the home conditions. We would like to provide her daughter with a chest of drawers which are needed to store her clothes as they are currently on her bedroom floor. The drawers would mean the clothes can be put away, kept clean, and will give her some much needed space in her room. Mum is struggling financially, but has worked hard to address the home conditions. Thank you for your support.
AR has been living in a hotel with her five children since the beginning of the year when she fled domestic violence. She has recently been moved into a property and is struggling to get items essential to making the place into a home for her children. AR is claiming Universal Credit, but this only allows her to budget for every day living, and does not leave enough for her to buy extra items. Please can you help with a vacuum cleaner, wardrobes and a sofa? Thank you.
Help is needed for a mum of three to replace her broken fridge freezer. This lady has health problems and is undergoing more tests for a problem with her vision. She is unable to work and has received help from the local foodbank. Unfortunately, mum has no savings and her low income from Universal Credit means she is unable to save enough to replace her fridge and freezer. Having to buy fresh food daily for her family is very expensive and a replacement fridge freezer would make a huge difference.
S, who lives in a one bedroom first floor flat, has neurological problems with chronic pain that affects her mobility. She can feel isolated and her condition can worsen from time to time, requiring her to put her legs up, but she only has an armchair and a bed in her flat. Only a small sofa would fit in, but it would allow relief from pain and enable S to receive another person in her flat. Acts 435 is asked to fund a small item of furniture that would make such a difference to her life.
