£0 remaining for a skip
We are helping a local resident who was referred to us by a local foodbank. She has chronic health issues and is living in a ground floor council flat. Her health issues mean that she is unable to dig her overgrown garden or cut the top of her hedge. As part of a larger community project, we are mobilising local volunteers to help her clear weeds, cut the lawn and bring the hedge height down so that it is in a manageable state for her, and can become a useable space for her again. Please can you help with the cost of a skip?
L is single mum to 3 teenage children & has been living in temporary accommodation for over a year. The family were evicted from their previous home due to being unable to pay the rent and accruing debt. The bailiffs took all of their possessions so they have nothing for their new home. L is currently unable to work due to poor mental health from the stress of her situation & is dependent on basic benefits but she is desperate for a washing machine as she cannot afford launderette services.
After many years in a hostel R now has his own council flat, unfortunately this has no basic appliances. He is a particularly vulnerable individual, as he has learning difficulties and also lives with the effects of a brain injury sustained from a fall two years ago. He receives personal independence payments but has insufficient funds for white goods and is keen to be more independent. £200 is required for a washing machine to enable him to manage his own laundry safely and economically.
This gentleman has lived and worked in UK for 22 years having come originally from Denmark. He hasn't been able to work for the last few years due to health conditions and currently has no income with no family in the UK or Denmark. Under the EU settlement scheme he has right to settlement status but he is needing help to get to London in order to get a new Danish passport.
A has severe mental ill health and is a wheelchair user. A is struggling financially due to issues with her benefits payments, we have referred A to Citizens Advice for help with this. A is being supported with her mental health & to access support within the community. Whilst her benefit issues are being resolved, A is struggling to afford bills and food as she has been left with a very small amount to live on. .We would be grateful of any donations towards food for A at this difficult time.
A has fled an abusive relationship and is due to move into an unfurnished property with her son, who has additional needs, next week. They are starting from scratch needing everything to live and this is one of the items she does not have the funds to be able to purchase. We have found a reconditioned fridge freezer from a local charity who can deliver.
