    This man has a complicated medical history and is looking after his disabled wife, he has just been admitted to hospital following a collapse and will need help with healthcare and towards bills for gas etc.

    From Sreatham - 39 years old

    Makiese fled abuse just before Christmas and is being temporarily housed in a bed and breakfast with her 3 children aged 10, 3 and 2, The 2 year old has Down's Syndrome. Makiese needs basic essentials and a microwave.

    From Newton Aycliffe - 44 years old

    This lady and her teenage son have recently moved due to family problems. The son is his mum's full time carer. They are struggling financially while trying to furnish their new home as well as paying utility bills. They have been trying to sort things out themselves but it has become too much for them. Although they need quite a few items they are desperate for a cooker so that they will be able to eat proper hot meals.

    From Newton Aycliffe - 42 years old

    This lady has recently become a single parent due to the break up of her long term relationship. She was left with a lot of debt and is finding it extremely difficult to pay off the debts as well as household expenses. This leaves her with very little for anything else. Her son is in great need of winter clothing as well as a school uniform.

    From Loughboroiugh Junction - 22 years old

    Tiffany is a vulnerable homeless woman who is currently staying with a friend having suffered abuse and domestic violence. She is struggling to feed herself and provide the basic essentials for herself.

  • £100 needed for emergency travel to see family

    From Streatham - 51 years old

    Edith suffers from post traumatic stress caused by the breakdown of her previous marriage in Ireland. She has suffered 2 strokes and is epileptic and so relies on benefits and her husband is her carer. As part of her recovery her counsellor recommends she should visit her elderly mother and daughter who are still in Ireland but she is unable to raise the fare.

    From York - 74 years old

    Ron, an elderly single man reliant on basic pension, has just been re-housed by the Council in York but cannot afford to cover his bedroom floor with a carpet. £100 will meet this need.

  • £40 needed for football boots

    From Scarborough - 51 years old

    Deborah's daughter has been involved with a church outreach team for many months, working with her to build her confidence. Deborah has debt issues and can't afford football boots for her daughter,who isn't allowed to play without them.She really wants to get involved with the football team and it will help improve her confidence and self esteem greatly. In the event that she ceases to play she has said that she'll donate the boots to the school for another child.

    From Haverhill - 20 years old

    Sheanu has been left on her own with a young baby. She is living on income support and has inherited substantial debt from the broken relationship. Currently with no other income, she is very much in need of a fridge freezer (has no fridge at all) to keep food and feeds fresh, as well as it would help with budgeting. Sheanu is unable to pay for this herself from her benefit and would be grateful for your help. Furniture bank are helping with other items of furniture.

    From Haverhill - 28 years old

    Stewart has been struggling to find work for about 9 months now but still nothing. His JSA is sanctioned untill Feb. Currently his partner is sharing her JSA of £47 a wk with him. Now the weather has turned for the worse Stewart is desperately in need of some warm clothing, a coat and some shoes. Even if his JSA was in place he would be hard pushed to fund this. His attitude is that bills come first. He is now a CAP client and we are helping with food. He is genuinely grateful for help received.

    From Haverhill - 25 years old

    Danielle has been unemployed for quite some time and is still looking for work. However, she receives JSA but is really struggling to make ends meet. She is desperately in need of some warm clothes to see her through the winter months. She needs a top coat and some decent shoes as well as other items but it's impossible for her to provide them for herself on her minimal income. We are currently helping her with food when necessary. CAP is also on board. This request is an urgent plea.

    From Streatham - 39 years old

    Peaches suffered domestic violence in 2010 and is still waiting for a decision from the Home Office concerning her right to remain in the UK - which is hoped will be through soon. In the meantime she has no access to funds and is struggling to feed herself.

  • £100 needed for basic furnishing for council flat

    From Wolverhampton - 36 years old

    Supported by his church this man has moved into his own council flat to attempt independent living. Although the Church was able to help with transport and basic furnishings there is a need for second hand curtains and carpet to make the flat habitable. This man has flourished and triumphed over a number of personal difficulties since becoming a member of the church, who are fully supportive of this application.

  • £65 needed for new tyres and brake repair to car

    From Stonehouse - 50 years old

    This is a single man in his late forties who is currently unemployed but desperate to get back into a job. He is applying for lots of jobs and has just signed on with various agencies, but in order to get to interviews and any agency work they might have available, he needs 2 new tyres and some brake repairs done on his car.

    From Haverhill - 25 years old

    Siobahn was first referred to us by her midwife as her housing situation was unsatisfactory. At the time she was 'sofa surfing' between family members and friends. Having been homeless, she has now been rehomed and expects her baby after Christmas. Siobahn is currently on her own and having just moved iiinto her home, she has no way of funding a fridge, which she needs in time for baby's arrival, to enable feeds and food to be kept fresh.

    From York - 28 years old

    Help is needed to buy 3 bags of coal to see a family through the next few weeks. The father has a low paid job and they are struggling with a sudden drop in income.

  • £90 needed for debt relief order application fee

    From Acton - 49 years old

    JB's husband left her which has led to depression to such an extent that she has lost her job after working for many years as a GP's receptionist. Her depression is very severe. She is living on benefits as she is not able to work and has relied on credit cards. She is now budgeting to live within her means, but needs to apply for a debt relief order to free her from unmanageable debts, to allow her to make a fresh start.

    N is 58 years old and a single mother to two teenagers. She lives in council accommodation. She works part time as a nursery nurse, but is not able to work more as she suffers from diabetes and mobility difficulties.She has tried hard to resolve her debt situation, but her income is unlikely to increase mainly due to her age. Obtaining a debt relief order will free her from the burden of her debts, but finding the £90 application fee is almost impossible as she is on such a tight budge

    AB is a single man aged 64 who lives alone. He lost his job for a while and run up credit card debts. He now works full time at Dixons but has recently had his hours reduced from 49 to 34, and he is on a very low wage. He has no pension provision. He has repaid half his debts over recent years, but now cannot keep up repayments on his lower income. Obtaining a debt relief order would free him from his debts and allow him to live on his income.

    From Streatham Hill - 44 years old

    Shaz is a lone parent and has an autistic son aged 17 and 2 other children aged10 and 9. She has moved around a great deal due to domestic violence but is now safely housed but needs furniture and kitchen equipment.
