Siobhan was first referred to us by her midwife as her housing situation was unsatisfactory. At the time she was 'sofa surfing' between family members and friends. Siobhan's baby is due after Christmas. Having been homeless, she has now been rehoused. She is currently on her own and having just moved into her home, has no way of funding the cooker that she needs to put in place.

Paul has epilepsy & back problems & his wife suffers Agoraphobia, Bi-Polar & severe back problems. Paul receives Incapacity benefit & his wife, both components of DLA. They have 2 teenage sons & a daughter to care for. Recently moved into a house that had been stripped completely bare, they are now in need of some kind of flooring (bare boards currently) and some wallpaper to cover the walls to help keep noise down and to give a little more warmth & comfort. They're unable to finance themselves.

Albert is still waiting for right to remain and therefore unable to work and struggling to pay the basic bills. His 11 year old son Christian is gifted at football and has been offered a training place at Chelsea after Christmas but needs £165 to enrol. It would be great for Christian if Acts435 could help him fulfil his dream.

Aleksandra was being violently abused by her husband, the marriage subsequently broke down. Together with her 3 children of 7,5, & 8mths she has just been rehoused after spending several months in B&B. We have been able to help the family with several items of furniture and bedding via furniture bank but they are left with the desperate need for a cooker, as no white goods were left in the property. Aleksandra receives JSA & child tax credit, but it isnt enough to allow her to fund this herself.

17yr old Nathan is staying with a friend whose parents have taken him in. Due to having no relationship with his separated parents, he has no family or home of his own. Nathan is a very polite young man and, extremely aware of the generosity he is being shown. He has no money & is too young to claim JSA. He's completed Health & Safety test in Construction & now needs funding for the CISRS card which will enable him to work in the construction industry. Nathan shows great determination to do well.

Ex addict & recovering alcoholic David, has worked extremely hard to turn his life around & is now nurturing his partner through the same. They suffered a huge setback earlier this year when their baby was taken from them & adopted. Now in a better place, they are working hard making home a good, comfortable place to be. We're helping with furniture & curtains but a curtain pole is needed & David needs some warm clothing and a pair of shoes, as his are letting in water. CAP is also working here.

Paul and his wife relocated to Haverhill in October having been promised a bus driving job which, subsequently fell through, he was then advised to call again in January but has since been told there will be no vacancies then either. They've encountered unforeseen problems and had to strip the floors back to bare boards to get them clean. On JSA they don't have enough to fund much needed new flooring to keep the draughts out and the dust down, which exacerbate Paul's asthma problems.

7 years ago Yetunde came to the UK with her husband and 3 small children as she needed medical care. Her husband had right to remain and supported his family and so Yetunde's status in the UK was not an issue. 4 months ago her husband left her and returned to Nigeria leaving Yetunde with no income or access to public funds. She is taking legal advice but currently is totally reliant on charity for food and to help with the bills.

Sarnia is a lone parent and was subjected to domestic abuse for over seven years. She has experienced abuse and hardship from her ex-partner and had fled the abuse. She has been placed into temporary accommodation by Children and Young People’s Services but her immigration status is still outstanding and she is struggling to raise funds for application. They have now threatened to terminate provision of the accommodation and subsistence payments.

Mr Hossain is very ill with diabetes and depression and has not received any income since May 2011 due to an official error in his benefit claim.He has steadily deteriorated in health and because his diabetes is diet controlled,his lack of food is now taking a toll on his body. He has no money for his electricity or gas meters and has no food We are trying to keep this gentleman out of hospital this side of Christmas and a donation towards some heating and some food would enable us to do that.

Eileen has fled a violent marriage & has ended up in a financial situation where she is barely able to meet essential expenses.She suffered a series of strokes & is left disabled & with serious memory impairment. She has Grandchildren in Bradford but is unable to afford the travel to see them or buy gifts for them, which she is desperate to do while she is still able to do so.Donating to her could make the world of difference to Eileen and her grandchildren and give her a Christmas with family.

Christine is fleeing for the second time in her life, the first time across the country from being held at gunpoint and this time from an abusive landlord who has refused her utilities and threatened her repeatedly. She is moving into a property that has nothing and she has no money to furnish it. She needs a fridge and a cooker, both of which can be purchased second hand for £45 each locally. She needs to feel safe for the first time in 6 years and this will help her to settle somewhere safely.

Michael is in need of an orthapaedic mattress which has been recommended by his doctor, to help him sleep more easily. Michael is waiting for an operation to relieve continual pain in his back which has badly fused discs. Michael is disabled - unable to walk and in continual pain. He has recently moved into a home more suitable for his needs and we have been helping with other items of furniture. Michael is receiving ESA but is unable to afford the mattress himself.

Lynette & her partner have recently lost their home, though now rehomed they are struggling to live on maternity benefit and JSA which has been sanctioned due to an admin error. Mark has written to the relevant dept. but must wait for their response. They also have an 8yr old daughter. They are in need of a cooker as the microwave is very limited and, not suitable for long term family cooking. We are currently helping them with both food and furniture as there is precious little income at all.

Mark has written to relevant dept but must wait for a tresponse. With an 8yr old and a baby a washing machine is now much needed. With such a small income it is impossible for the couple to provide one for themselves. We are helping with both food and furniture to get them back on their feet. Please can you help.
