David has been homeless for 15 years and is now in his first flat. He enjoys cooking but has not been able to as he does not have an electric cooker. As a result he is not able to eat healthily.

S has been homeless and unemployed for 2 years. He has been without a freezer for 9 and a half months. It will make a big difference to have a freezer to store proper food to cook.

This lady is in need of a new bed, she has found herself in a position where she is having to sell her house to pay off the mortgage which she can't afford. She has a bad back and other health issues - her bed collapsed so she unable to sleep properly and is therefore suffering from back pain.

Sally and her young son were living with her parents, her father, having been made redundant has had to vacate the tied cottage in which they were living, leaving Them homeless. Sally and son have been temporarily rehomed in Haverhill. She has no furniture or soft furnishings of her own. Furniture Bank is helping with several items of furniture but is in need of a couple of rugs to help with flooring and some curtains to give privacy. Sally's only income at this time is Tax Credits.

'Daniel' has suffered from alcohol & drug misuse for a number of years, he is working with a support worker and now been clean for over 8 months. Just recently he has moved into a small flat with nothing, but has now been kitted out with donations from local churches, the only thing he lacks is a washer dryer (as there is no drying facilities at all) and a local church has already pledged £170 of the £270 needed, if we can support him with the £100. Please can you help.

Nikki has suffered abuse for many years and has now fled an abusive relationship. Her 3 children do not live with her but she is trying to support them - buying school uniforms etc and in doing so is going without food and is now struggling to pay the rent.

From Haverhill - 32 years old
Sean has broken, smashed heels due to an accident which caused him to jump from a substantial height, whilst working as a steel erector. He is on a waiting list for an operation but, in the meantime needs some boots which can support his ankles and be fitted with metal adjusters to increase his foot alignment and support correct posture to relieve his pain when walking. He is currently unemployed and therefore unable to finance the boots himself.

Having suffered a broken relationship Tracy has moved into Haverhill. She has lost everything including her clothing and furniture. Tracy is currently sleeping on a camp bed and has only a kettle to her name. Although she has been given a flat by the council she has no money to finance necessary items such as a washing machine and has asked if we can help with this. Tracy is very much in need of our help and is thankful that someone cares enough to do so.

Nicola's 12yr very abusive relationship ended when she fled into a womens refuge with her 3 children of 8,6 & 2. They have now been rehomed but have nothing at all to set up home with. We are helping to provide furniture via the Furniture bank. Rather than use radiators (expensive), a tumble dryer will enable Nicola to keep up with the family laundry needs during the winter months. She is working hard to provide a more stable environment, and a happy life for her very young family.

Jackie's alone, her husband's in prison & she's struggling to pay off the debts left. She's exhausted by deep depression & finds it really hard to cope. She desperately needs some new bedding and towels to replace her old worn out ones, but is unable to finance this for herself. Her home is very sparse, with very little in the way of comfort. To have these items would aid her wellbeing, it would help her to relax more when sleeping and bathing, better refreshing her to take on a new day.

Daniel's JSA has been sanctioned until 29th Nov as unfortunately he missed a couple appointments with the Job Centre. He is now on a 26 week training course intended to open up more opportunities for work. In the meantime the family washing machine has broken down and is irrepairable. He is unable to fund a washing machine himself, but the need is great for his young wife with 2 small children to keep clean. They would be very grateful for your help.

Tracy is very much in need of our help and is thankful that someone cares enough to do so.

Annwen had an accident at work which has left her with headaches and an eye test revealed she needs new glasses. Unfortunately she recently lost her job and currently cannot afford to get the new glasses made up. She is currently trying to apply for jobs and needs the glasses to fill in the application forms.

39 year old male has received warning of eviction unless he pays £70 rent arrears. He receives housing benefit but recently lost his job and is currently not entitled to Job Seekers or any other income support. He has nil income and is surviving on food handouts from local friends and church charity. He is looking for work but is also facing some serious health issues.

Michelle is a single mum with an 8yr old daughter. She has fallen behind with her priority bills and is struggling with living costs whist on benefits. She is now receiving debt counselling, and has been helped with food from Haverhill Foodbank. Michelle needs a washing machine to replace her old one, which is too far gone to repair. She also needs curtain poles to hang curtains, to give some privacy to her home, but she's unable to fund these items herself. With grateful thanks for your help.

Stewart became unemployed a while ago and has more recently relocated, along with his partner, to try to improve his opportunities for work. So far, they are still unemployed and struggling to pay off outstanding debts as well as trying to cope with living costs. His washing machine, which has been repaired over & over again, has broken down & is now irreparable. He cannot fund a replacement himself. Stewart has asked for help with this as well as guidance with his current financial situation.

Donations were generously given for Sarah to help her travel to & from Leeds whilst she was pregnant with twins, with twin2twin syndrome; this helped her family so much. Miraculously both twins survived & are doing well. However this has incurred more travel expenses and childcare costs for her toddler whilst dealing with 2 premature babies. It would be a huge blessing to both parents and grandparents of this lovely Christian family for some extra financial help towards travel and childcare.

From MIDDLESBROUGH - 60 years old
A church member on Jobseekers Allowance is accommodating a young woman told not to return to her parent's home. The support is likely to be needed until this woman is established in a job and can move on. The Christian is struggling as she is having to provide food and meet extra expenses until her guest moves on.
