M and his brother C live together. They are clients of our Chartham pantry. They are on benefits. Both have learning difficulties and struggle to communicate. Their neighbour looks out for them. Their fridge/freezer is old and the fridge part is no longer working. The fridge is making loud banging noises and they are unable to keep food cool. They would be grateful if you could donate towards a new fridge/freezer for them.

This lady has been bereaved by suicide, in 2024 her son took his own life after struggling with alcohol addiction and ill health for a number of years. Unfortunately, because of her trauma, grief and poor mental health, she has been unable to work and has found herself in financial hardship. Due to her lack of funds, this lady has been unable to purchase a washing machine when hers broke, and has been finding this very difficult.

This young gentleman suffers from severe disability and mobility issues. He has the opportunity to move into more suitable accommodation for his needs but has to start from scratch for equipment and furnishing. Our Church/Foodbank is helping to source items for him and we would love to be able to purchase a washing machine for his new housing and we would install it for him. C is a single mum with her 16 year old living at home and often looking after her 5 grandchildren aged between 1-11 as well. She suffers from numerous health conditions including anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and back problems. Some of her medication needs to be kept in a fridge, but her current fridge-freezer is currently making loud noises, and the back is getting very hot. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and is unable to replace it. Are you able to help?

A is a single lady who has built up debt over many years. She is now working and this is going well for her. She is pursuing a bankruptcy, but paying the fee will make it difficult for her to manage day to day living in the next few months. support towards her food and other necessities including electricity in the short term would really make a difference.

F is a refugee from Africa. She is currently attending English classes once a week, and would like a laptop to help her study at home. She can't afford this on the money that she is receiving. She says "I would like to have a good future. When my English becomes better, I would like to work as a teacher or nurse, or in an office. Thank you for helping me and supporting my education."

Miss S recently fled domestic abuse and was living in a refuge with her daughter. We are working with other agencies to provide advice about safety planning and support. They have now been given a council property, but it is entirely unfurnished so they are starting from scratch. One essential item we are requesting is a fridge freezer and we would be grateful if you are able to help. Thank you for considering this request.

T and her 13 year old have been living in temporary accommodation for the past 12 weeks after being made homeless. T has been granted a council property that is out of their area and is completely empty. T and her daughter are in need of all of the essentials. They have been gifted some basic furniture and an air fryer. The local church has been able to gift them a second hand fridge. We would love to buy them an oven so that they can cook meals together and start a fresh in their new home.

N is a single mother with three teenage daughters, one of whom is neurodivergent. She has had health problems recently which have prevented her from working. She has since returned to work but is currently struggling with debt and is working with our local Christians Against Poverty charity to overcome this. Her tumble dryer has stopped working and she is in need of a replacement before the weather prevents drying of laundry outside.

This lady through no fault of her own has been placed in temporary accommodation. She has a history of mental health needs and she wants to restart medication due to this particularly difficult time. She is struggling financially and has no savings to furnish her flat. She has managed to secure basic furnishings but has no cooking facilities, we would like to provide a microwave, air fryer and food voucher to prepare healthy meals, plus a vacuum cleaner to keep her flat clean.

This gentleman on a Skilled Healthcare Visa has been impacted by changes to his visa conditions reducing his work hours and leaving him unable to cover rising rent and other costs for his family. With your help we supported his last months rent, and would like to do the same this month. He continues to seek employment with Visa sponsorship so he can increase his working hours but has yet to be successful. This instability is affecting his whole family and his own mental health is deteriorating.

We are supporting a gentleman through our food bank who is expecting to be granted asylum in the UK in the near future. He is living in Home Office shared accommodation and attending a college course. He relies on his bicycle to travel to college, attend appointments, and manage day-to-day activities. The bike is in need of repairs and maintenance, including work on the gears and brakes. We pray that our kind and generous donors can help so that he can continue to travel safely on busy roads.

C is a single mum with 5 children aged 1-11. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and Disability Living Allowance for her 7 year old daughter who has recently been diagnosed with autism. Her cooker, which was purchased second hand originally broke a year ago. She has been using an air-fryer or going to her mum’s house, whilst she has been trying to find another second-hand cooker. She is unable to continue feeding her family in this way but also cannot afford a new one. Are you able to support this family?

V is an asylum seeker from Tajikistan who has been living in this country for three years. He and his wife have three young children. One of the girls has broken his phone and it cannot be mended. He needs his phone to keep in touch with authorities and organisations and to use apps when he needs to travel to appointments. He has no spare money to buy a new phone so any help you could give him would be gratefully received.

R is a single Mum with 3 teenage boys, a migrant family, fleeing domestic violence and living in an area of the country with high racial tension. R is doing all she can to keep the boys away from the racial abuse and safe. The boys have been offered out of school football sessions with others in similar situations but they need trainers and with 3 growing teens R needs help with school shoes too if possible. R is on limited income due to working restrictions so there is no money for these items.

A is currently living in a women's refuge with her son. She fled a very violent relationship which has left her with severe mental health issues and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has now been offered a property through a local social landlord. Sadly the house comes without carpets/flooring. A isn't in a position to be able to afford them and she is desperate for the house to become her forever home. We can provide flooring free of charge but need help to cover the fitting cost. D is a single man recently separated from his wife. He has neurodivergency which affects his cognitive functions which also affects his ability to deal with daily living. He is seeking help with debt, and is in receipt of Universal Credit. Daily bus tickets are £10 and he needs to regularly access the centre of town for appointments and clubs for his health, this is becoming un-affordable. We are requesting support to purchase a used moped to make travel more affordable and easier.

This lovely lady was a victim of domestic abuse and stalking by her ex-partner. She bravely left her shared flat to escape but found herself living on the streets and in hostels for the last 4 months. She has just moved into a new flat but has used every penny that she has to put down the deposit and pay the first months rent. She has some things in storage and needs to hire a van to collect them and to start to make her new flat a home.

V is a 75 year old pensioner struggling with the high cost of living, especially paying her bills for electricity and water. As a resident living very close to Grenfell Tower she is still traumatised by the impact of the fire and has complex health issues. She visits our weekly Foodbank. His family in Pakistan have requested he return home as his mother has been given a matter of weeks to live and is begging to see her son one last time. A is desperate to see his mum before she passes away.
