£0 remaining for carpet fitting
This young woman recently obtained a council flat and the existing floor coverings are effectively non-existent. She was made redundant before Christmas and is trying to find full-time employment, but has only currently managed to find part-time work and has a benefit claim pending. Whilst floor coverings are being supplied to her, this young woman cannot afford to have them fitted. Your help in funding this would make a huge difference to her and transform where she lives. Thank you.
J has come from supported living where he resided for eleven months. Previous to this, he lived in his car as he was suffering serious mental health issues. J is now trying to get his life back on track and has a new property but it has no flooring down. His only income is Universal Credit and he has no savings. Flooring in the property would greatly improve his mental health; currently his home his cold, damp and miserable. Carpets have kindly been supplied, but any help with fitting costs would be a huge help to J.
C is a single mum of three children who is living in a cold, damp house with no carpets. Mum and the children rarely use downstairs as it’s too cold with stone floors. C isn’t working, has no savings and only receives Universal Credit. We would love to make her house into a home and can carpet it for free, but just need a little help with the cost of fitting. Any help would be an absolute Godsend.
R, a single mum of two children, has fled an abusive relationship. She has multiple disabilities, alongside post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. After a period in a women's refuge, R has now been supported into a new home. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings as she has spent what she had on furnishings and white goods for her house. Floor coverings would turn R's house into a home, help her mental health and give her the fresh start she is desperate for.
