This lady was truly grateful to receive this help as it has been such a struggle for her. Her son will now be warm and comfortable going to school in this freezing weather and not have to borrow his friend's coat.

Cooker brings huge blessing
The church advocate accompanied the applicant to go and purchase her new cooker. She was delighted that she was able to get it as she would never have been able to save enough to buy one herself. It will make such a difference to her and her son, they will be able to eat proper meals now and are feeling really blessed to have received this help.

Timely Gift for Clothing in this Cold Snap!
Stewart was so thrilled today to receive the money which had been donated to him. He was absolutely frozen through when he came in to see the advocate. Needless to say, he was in a hurry to leave for the shops to find some much needed warm clothes. He asked me to convey his heartfelt thanks to all who've helped him.

Cooker
Sheanu is absolutely delighted with her new cooker. She is so pleased that she now doesn't have to rely on her neighbour who has been so kind and generous in allowing Sheanu to use hers.
Life is really looking up for Sheanu and her young son now that they have settled into their new home after the relationship breakup. She is very grateful for the generous help she has received from people through ACTS 435. -
A Spring in his Step
£100 from Acts 435 for flooring and wallpaper was very gratefully received and Pete is looking forward to getting on with the work to be done, but the greatest thing about this particular request was that a brilliant discussion was held between the advocate and the applicant whereby Pete was asking a lot of "very searching" questions. The upshot of the time spent with him is that Pete is now enrolled on the Christianity Explored Course. He is very excited and wants to bring his wife too.

Help to buy 3 bags of coal
£60 seems so little to ask for but made a huge difference to this family as they faced winter with a significant change in income, real anxiety and need. The family's little girl was really quite poorly over Christmas but the family was able to keep warm and comfortable thanks to the Acts 435 donations.

Housing saved!
An applicant who received £70 from Acts 435 for rent wrote her grateful thanks for the support which avoided the possibility of she and her husband losing their house.

New flooring required
This is a single mother who is trying really hard to bring up her daughter and work part-time. She does not work full time as she really wants to be around for her daughter after school. She needed money to get some flooring to cover the concrete floor in the lounge, in order to make her house a home. Acts 435 was able to help with £100.

Winter Clothing Bonanza
Since receiving £100 from Acts 435 donors, this lady has purchased a new coat and boots and due to careful shopping and sales she also managed to purchase some jeans and warm socks. She is now better able to face the cold weather and is feeling more confidant in herself. She is extremely grateful to everyone as there was no way she would have been able to afford to buy them for herself. The donations have made such a difference to her and she can't thank people enough.

Fuel Poverty Eased
Thanks to a £100 donation from Acts 435, Mr Hossain is able to have food and heating on over the next few weeks. He still has no income, is very unwell and has been absolutely desperate in recent weeks. His face lit up when the church advocate in Scarborough gave him the money and he was overwhelmed with gratitude. For most of us £100 wouldn't go very far, for him it is literally a lifeline and one he is so grateful for. Thank you to all who support Acts 435. Your money does make a significant difference.
