£200 needed for a washing machine
B is an older man who is going through the trauma of separation, following a relationship breakdown and, therefore, losing his home. He has long-term health conditions including a stoma bag, fatigue, depression and anxiety. These mean that B has a very low income, and he can't afford to furnish his new home. His most urgent need is for a washing machine, so that he can keep his clothes and bedding clean, as he finds it very difficult to visit the launderette due to his health, not to mention the expense.

Safe Families are supporting these grandparents who are caring for their granddaughter. The grandfather has a number of health issue and their granddaughter is struggling with her mental health. The family has an accumulation of household items mounting up in the garden and has no way of disposing of them. We would love to help the family with a skip to clear up the items in the garden. £200 needed for a fridge freezer
A, who has been sleeping rough, following the breakdown of several relationships, had very few possessions, especially after some were stolen whilst he was homeless. He is on benefits, which only just cover living costs, and has no savings. A has secured a new tenancy, but it has no fridge freezer so he is not able to store food safely, which makes shopping and cooking very difficult and expensive. A fridge freezer would let him keep food safely, and do things like batch cooking for economical meals.
£200 needed for carpet fitting
J is a single mum with two young children. Her only income is from Universal Credit and she has no savings. Mum has been living without carpets for over eighteen months now and simply can't afford the large outlay to buy them. We have the most amazing offer of free carpets, but need a little help with the cost of fitting. J would be so grateful for any support offered.
£200 needed for a fridge freezer
S needs a new fridge as her current one is leaking and breaking down. It is an urgent request and essential item, as she needs to support her family of four children and mother who is living with them. S currently attends her local foodbank and the family is struggling to make ends meet. S would very much appreciate your help and is grateful for your support.
£200 needed for a bike, helmet and lock
M is an Afghan refugee who has been settled here with his family. He needs a bike to help him get to school each day, as his family are struggling with the cost of the bus. A bike will also give him independence to visit friends and learn English through other activities. We are also requesting a helmet and lock.
£200 needed for flooring
Safe Families are supporting mum and her son who do not have any flooring and all of the floors are concrete. Mum is finding the floor is very hard to keep clean. She is struggling financially, and we would love to help this family with the cost of some laminate flooring, which would make the home more hygienic as it would be much easier to keep clean. This would also insulate the home, making it warmer, and make the house feel like a home.
£150 needed for a bed and mattress
T was a victim of modern day slavery, having been trafficked. He has now been rescued, has been staying in emergency accommodation, and is being supported into his own accommodation so that he can move on and live independently. T's new flat is unfurnished; he has no possessions, and is on a low income whilst he finds his feet. Your support to buy a bed would mean he has somewhere proper to sleep, rather than the floor, which would greatly aid him as he makes a fresh start.
