Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Please can you help a single mum to provide school shoes and a school uniform for her son? This young mother has recently started working a new job, and is trying really hard to better her life and not be dependent on benefits anymore. She has been working with Christians against poverty to repay her debts. The correct uniform will provide him with a positive beginning to the new school year. Thank you!

Total needed £100A is a victim of a family relationship breakdown, to the extent that she felt she had to leave home. She was managing ok until she was made redundant during the pandemic. Although she found other employment, it depended on her having a car, which was scrapped in June. Her options are now limited, as she cannot afford another car and, on her current low income, cannot clear the debts she accrued whilst not working. A Debt Relief Order will help her make a fresh start to move forward again.

Total needed £90J is a single mum who is struggling with debt and her debt problems have led to mental health problems. She is working hard with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to sort everything out, has a part time job and is engaging really well with the CAP debt process. A Debt Relief Order is the best option J has to deal with her debt, but this needs a £90 application fee, which she cannot afford. If we could help J with this, it would give her hope for the future and she will be able to move on.

Total needed £90J has moved into a new property and was unable to change the utility bills into his name, as there were outstanding payments from the previous tenant. So that no overdue charges are added to the bill, J's Landlord has outright paid the bill and now J needs to reimburse him. J has been able to pay a significant portion of the bill, but needs help to clear the remaining balance. Thank you for your time.

Total needed £150We are supporting a young mum who has a toddler aged twenty two months and a baby that is three months old. Mum only has a single pushchair and; therefore, is struggling to get out of the house to go to appointments or to get to the shops, because her toddler is too young to walk very far. It would make such a difference if she could take her two children out of the home together safely.

Total needed £150I met this lovely lady today who has a five year old daughter and acts as a full time Carer for her father. She has had to access support for food, because she has had to use the money that she normally sets aside for food to pay her increasing rent and utility bills. Mum has struggled with her washing machine for a while, but it is now beyond repair. Please offer any help that you can to enable us to support her with the purchase of a replacement washing machine.
