Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Our client has just moved into a flat after being in emergency accommodation, with her three children. She has discovered an infestation at the new flat and her and the children have nasty bites all over them. The client has washed everyone's bedding on a hot wash, but they are all still being bitten. Mum has reported this to council, but they are not helping and she is having to spend a lot on fumigation sprays. Our client is a single parent on Universal Credit who would like help replacing their bedding.

Total needed £200After being released from prison, this gentleman initially stayed in a bail hostel, but had to leave due to violating Covid regulations. He is currently facing homelessness, as he hasn't found permanent housing. This is now affecting his mental heath, as he has stopped taking his medication. We kindly request your help to put this gentleman in a bed and breakfast for four nights whilst we collaborate with partner agencies to organise a more permanent housing option and a mental health solution.

Total needed £200Our resident, who is in his twenties and is in receipt of benefits, has been in our supported accommodation for over sixteen months. We have now found suitable accommodation for him, with the local authority, and he is starting the process of moving. The accommodation lacks carpets, which we have been able to source some funding for, however, he needs to pay for a local carpet fitter to fit the carpets throughout the flat. This will help to make it feel like a home and also keep the flat warm.

Total needed £195M, a single mum, has managed to clear all her debts off and is starting a new, better paid job which will help the family enormously. However, she is a long way from home so travelling costs are more. M has just been informed that she has to work two weeks in advance. This means that, after paying for rent, school pack-ups, bus and tram passes and food, she cannot put the electricity and gas on. Her neighbours are helping with hot meals. Please can you help M with electric and gas for two weeks?
