Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

My client, who has autism and mental health issues, helps out at Foodbank and also with activities at church. He has begun to make real progress over the last couple of years, but unfortunately, he is not very good with money and has got into debt. My client is working with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and, as well as doing a CAP Money course, they have recommended a Debt Relief Order (DRO) which costs £90. My client doesn't have the £90 for the DRO. Please can you help?

Total needed £90Our client is a single father to a six year old child. Following an intrusion into his house, he is in need of a replacement cooker and washing machine. He has been found to have limited capability to work, and is currently in receipt of Universal Credit, so is struggling with limited funds. Our client is suffering with mental health issues and, without a cooker to heat food and a washing machine to clean their clothes independently, this is further impacting his health and well-being.

Total needed £200J is dealing with a broken car bonnet arm and urgently requires assistance to cover the cost of repairs for essential transportation to health appointments. Financially strained, her recently altered optical prescription requires financial support for glasses to manage attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) light sensitivity. These glasses would benefit J greatly as she is an artist and this helps keeps her active when experiencing flare ups.

Total needed £200This mum and her family have just been rehoused, due to domestic violence from her ex-partner. He is now in prison for threatening behaviour towards the daughter and the drug culture where they lived. While they can take most of their furniture with them, the new house has no carpet or floor covering, so the money is for carpets in the downstairs areas.

Total needed £175J, who struggles with poor mental health and works sixteen hours per week, is reliant on Universal Credit. J and his partner have spilt up, but share custody of their children, aged six and fourteen years old, and he pays a substantial amount of money towards his children's care. J struggles with interacting with people. He is currently using a launderette or machines at the local garage. This is expensive, but cheaper weekly than buying a machine. The family are currently supported by our social supermarket and are engaging positively. Please can you help?

It is also a very difficult time, as she has been served notice to leave her home, due to her rent being unaffordable. Total needed £90Recently released from prison, C has come to us for help getting into work. He has experience working in kitchens so we have secured him a job at a local restaurant, but he has no right to work ID or phone. C needs a replacement birth certificate and a replacement deed poll as his mum changed his name when he was a baby. We also need to buy him a basic smartphone so that he can use the restaurant's app for shifts. C is motivated to turn things around and this job will be a hugely positive step.

Total needed £190Mum, who has epilepsy, is a single parent with two children. She isn't working at the moment and is struggling financially. They would love to have a large outdoor storage box to safely store her children’s electric scooters and bikes. Currently, they have to store them indoors because they are electric and this has led to a clustered living area with not much space for her children to play. This outdoor storage box would also help mum to improve and keep on top of the home conditions.
