Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

T and her three children have just moved from temporary accommodation, which had integrated white goods, into a new permanent home with no kitchen equipment. They have been gifted a cooker and fridge, but are in need of a washing machine, as they currently have to take three buses to use a relative's washing machine. T is currently on benefits, due to ongoing health issues, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Total needed £130J is a lovely woman who is moving into temporary accommodation and just coming in off the streets. She has suffered extreme violence, has now been diagnosed with liver cancer and been given a year to live. J remains positive and friendly, and is not pushy in any way about asking for help. Her stay will be made comfortable by a microwave, slow cooker, kettle, toaster, cooking pans and utensils. These items can move on with J when she gets permanent accommodation.

Total needed £115Safe Families are supporting mum, dad and their seven year old so who have recently moved and have limited finances. Their son is non-verbal and has some additional needs. He really enjoys the sensory equipment he has in school and we would love to help provide the family with some sensory equipment at home. With your donations we would like to purchase the family a star light projector, some magic mirror shapes, a play tunnel, a light box and some magnetic tiles. Thank you!

Total needed £110This lady is a single mother with one dependent child, who is living in rented accommodation and currently claiming Universal Credit. She needs a dryer because her three year old son is autistic and has tantrums, causing him to spoil his clothing with anything he can get hold of. Mum has to change him five times or more each day, which causes lots of washing, and she has no way to dry the clothes fast enough to reuse them. Mum tried using a clothes maiden, but having the heating on for days to get them dry, would cost more than a dryer.

Total needed £160N has come to us in real need as her and her partner are really struggling financially and are already receiving some support for food. They desperately need a new carpet for their baby's bedroom. This will help them finish this room fully and begin the process of having their baby sleep in their own bedroom. Due to their financial situation, they have been unable to do this and would appreciate any help they receive. They have some money to put towards this as the carpet will cost around £200.
