Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

My client has been trying to deal with his financial issues for a while but, due to the pandemic impact, his work and the cost of living crisis, can no longer sustain payments to service his debts. He is starting a new job shortly, which will hopefully stabilise his income, but things will still be difficult. A Debt Relief Order would, at least, remove the worry and stress of enforcement, and ensure they can meet priority costs such as rent, Council Tax, food and fuel bills. Many thanks!

Total needed £90Our Client, a single mother of two pre-school children, is unable to work, due to Anxiety. She is eligible for a Debt Relief Order and has been able to save £20 towards the application fee. Total needed £70This single mother, with complex physical and mental health issues, has recently become eligible for a Debt Relief Order (DR0), following abuse. Although she has limited ability to work, she has secured part-time employment, working three evenings a week when family can take care of her two young children. With a very tight budget, the DRO would clear her debts and give her a fresh start.

Total needed £90C, a mother of two children, is struggling to make ends meet with the increased cost of living, and both her fridge and washing machine are dying at the same time! Until she found out about our church, and Acts 435, C was taking her washing to a relative's house, but it would be wonderful if we could bless her with her own machine. Please can you help?
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150K is doing his best to find work and has built up regular sessions for Just Eat, acting as a Delivery Rider on his moped. The increased cost in fuel and food has resulted in him falling behind with other bills. He feels he is taking one step forward and two steps back. Your support would give a welcome boost as he tries to get on track.
Still £125 left to donate
Total needed £125J is a client who approached Christians Against Poverty for help with his debts. Unfortunately, he suffers with Agoraphobia, which is impacted massively by his debts, which, in turn, makes the debt situation worse and causes a spiralling effect. A Debt Relief Order would be a complete fresh start for this client, financially, and would enable him to focus on getting well without the stress of the debt he has.

Total needed £90This elderly couple have discovered that their money has disappeared from their bank account, due to fraud. They have a household debt, due within a week, which, if not paid, will result in fines. The bank has agreed this is fraud, but it will take at least three weeks for the money to be returned. These people do not want to be in any more debt and are extremely upset over what has happened.
