Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Our applicant is an unaccompanied asylum-seeking young person from Egypt. Social Services have disputed his age, however, he has recently managed to get a copy of his birth certificate. The applicant needs to cover the cost of shipping, via DHL, to bring the document from Egypt to the UK. The applicant also needs phone credit to call his family in Egypt. The amount requested will be used to cover the cost of travel to the nearest DHL office, postage, and phone credit to call his family in Egypt.
Still £80 left to donate
Total needed £80Our applicant is an asylum seeker whose church, our centre and community are in South East London. His solicitor and the Winter Night Shelter he is sleeping in are in South West London. He is homeless and trying to obtain leave to remain in the UK after eighteen years here. Our applicant needs to buy a bus pass to travel between South East London and between the shelter spaces in South West London. Without any income, he desperately needs help with travel for the next few months and immediate accommodation.
Still £185 left to donate
Total needed £200M, an asylum seeker, is a single mother and a cancer patient. She moved earlier this year from private rental into Home Office accommodation. The council was paying for her furniture storage while her asylum claim lasted, so that she could have it ready when she starts renting again. Last month, her refugee status was granted and the council are asking her to start paying her own bills for the storage. It will take one month for Universal Credit to start, so she needs help just for this month.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200Our applicant, an asylum seeker currently in Home Office accommodation with her three children, only has subsistence payments and no other income. She is currently suffering severe toothache, but the dentist she is registered with cannot give her NHS treatment, due to her current immigration status. Our applicant needs funds urgently for dental consultation and treatment. She is finding life difficult looking after her family in very cramped conditions whilst in severe discomfort.
