£0 remaining for a vacuum cleaner
T is a man who is currently claiming Universal Credit and working closely with his support worker to get back into work. His vacuum cleaner has just broken and his benefits do not provide him with enough money to be able to purchase a new one. We are unable to provide him with a second-hand one through our Furniture Project, as we do not provide electrical goods, so we would really like to help him to purchase a new one.
J is a single parent with four children. She is currently working with Children's Social Services to make improvements in the home. J is in desperate need of a fridge freezer as she has to buy food daily to ensure the children have meals and fresh food, but this is very costly and not appropriate for the family to continue doing. A fridge freezer would alleviate a lot of the pressure and help provide home-cooked meals for the children. Thank you so much for your support.
D, who has additional needs, lives with his teenage daughter. On Universal Credit, he has been sleeping on a sofa bed in his living room. He is now seeking to purchase a bed, as the sofa bed is broken and has caused him back issues. D is also hoping to be able to put down carpet in the living room as there are currently no carpets in the house.
