£0 remaining for clothes for interview
S has a long history of battling with addiction, being in and out of prison, and homelessness. A lifestyle of constantly moving between different hostels has meant he hardly has any clothes of his own. S is engaging in support with our project workers and is motivated to get his life back on track. Having some clothes to wear, other than what he stands up in, would do wonders for his confidence.
X and her girls have been victims of human trafficking, but are now safe and have a two bedroomed flat. We have been supporting them through our church foodbank during their time in hostel accommodation and at the clothes bank to support them in the cold weather. They are now in receipt of benefits, but need lots of things for their home that are too expensive for them currently. The are getting some help, but the flat is very empty and the teenage girls would love a television if possible.
This Nigerian family, with two young boys, have come over to Scotland to study. As well as studying, they are working to make ends meet, but have been surprised that their working skills in Nigeria haven't been transferrable here. They work long hours at low paid jobs in order to pay their expensive rent on a very small flat. The high cost of utility bills has surprised them and they need a bit of help to manage this through these cold months. They are incredibly grateful and humbled by this help. Thanks! 😊
This couple, who have twins girls aged two, are from Nigeria and studying in Scotland. They have spent all they had to get here, and are having to work constantly in order to make ends meet and care for their young daughters. They have no other support for childcare. Mum cleans in the daytime and works nights at low paid jobs to cover the cost of living. Some extra help towards gas and electricity bills would really see them through this winter season when they are struggling with the cold. They are so thankful for your help.
