£0 remaining for a cooker
This disabled gentleman has been referred to us by the local housing association. He has recently been given a property, but does not have a cooker. He is in receipt of Employment Support Allowance and Personal Independence Payment, but has a Motability car and wheelchair so his payments are minimal. This gentleman is having to pay an extra amount of rent each month to catch up with the four week in advance deposit. The removal van and service has cost him all his savings.
This gentleman was recently released from the criminal justice system and was invited to visit the St Vincent de Paul (SVP) centre to explore what help we could provide. He is excited to assist with cleaning and set-up for both the day sessions and the night sessions. Additionally, he was successful in landing a place at a rehabilitation treatment facility. SVP is requesting three nights in a nearby bed and breakfast establishment, as a temporary stay before he moves to the rehabilitation housing, and a food package.
This woman is requesting help with housing supplies so she can start over and have the requirements, after being released from prison. Requests for food, clothing and a fridge have been made. St Vincent de Paul is kindly requesting your continued assistance in helping this woman as she makes an effort to rebuild her life in a community that is supportive.
This gentleman, who has just become homeless, has been visiting the centre for clothes, lunch, and food packages. St Vincent de Paul (SVP) is asking for your kind donations in his search for a more permanent place to live. He hasn't slept well during his interactions with SVP and his mental wellbeing is affected. As a centre, we are asking for your kind donations to give him three night's respite in a bed and breakfast establishment and a food package. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
