£0 remaining for a living room carpet
We want to help B, a remarkable lady who has recently been rehoused and is in need of support to make her new house truly feel like a home. She has faced numerous challenges in her life, and her recent rehousing is a major improvement for her and her family. B receives benefits to cover basic living expenses, but one crucial element that's currently missing in her new home is carpeting. A living room carpet would make a world of difference in creating a warm, comfortable and inviting environment.
D, who accepted a housing exchange and moved to our locality, has an adult son and a seven year old. When she moved in six months ago, she could only afford a second-hand washing machine which has now broken. As it cannot be repaired, D is requesting help to buy a replacement.
This gentleman, who moved area over a year ago, has found himself in financial hardship and unable to afford furniture for his home. His basic pension covers his rent and bills and he is often short before the end of the month. This gentleman has kidney failure and needs to attend hospital dialysis sessions three times a week. With your kind donations we want to provide him with a sofa.
This lady, who is the sole carer for her four children, lives in a small twelfth floor flat with no lift access. There is no carpet at all in the two bedrooms and the carpet in the living areas is very old and worn. The youngest child is less than one year old and still at the crawling stage, so having a clean carpet to move around on would be a huge benefit to this child and to their siblings. Her local St Vincent de Paul society will top-up funds to get new carpet for the whole flat.
