C is a single mum of twins who has moved across the country with her family to escape domestic violence and they are finally settled in their forever home. C has some debts she is working with us to resolve. The twins are two years old and potty training so, as you can imagine, she is doing a lot of washing! C is struggling to afford her gas bill with needing the heating on a lot to get the clothes dry before they start to smell. Please can you help get them a dryer so she can keep her gas usage to a minimum?
R is a pensioner living alone and, despite his illnesses, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), he is trying to live independently for as long as possible. R is in desperate need of a replacement cooker. The council serviced his cooker, identified a gas leak and turned the gas off immediately, leaving him with no way of cooking meals. R is living on his pension and has very little disposable income once his bills are paid. Cooking is something that brings R joy.
L is a single parent who is being supported by Social Services. He doesn't have anywhere to keep his daughter's clothes, which makes it very hard to keep them clean and neat, and is adversely affecting her. L has a very low income and can't afford to purchase a wardrobe and chest of drawers. Your support would make a huge difference to L and his daughter.
L is a young asylum seeker who has been in supported accommodation, but has now outgrown this and has been matched to an unfurnished social housing flat. He is being supported by Social Services as a former looked-after child. L is on Universal Credit, but there have been delays processing his application and he can't afford to purchase much for his new home. In particular, he needs a washing machine so that he can keep his clothes and bedding clean.
