£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
L is a mother with two very young children who are on a Child Protection Plan. She has fled extreme domestic violence and has had to relocate with the children, due to the ex-partner being released from prison. L has been given a new tenancy and a safe and fresh start; however, they need quite a few household items and L is currently on benefits. They are being helped by one or two organisations for some of these, but are requesting your help to buy a fridge freezer.
S is an asylum seeker from India and, due to immigration conditions, he is unable to work or receive benefits. He has applied for the National Asylum Support Service support, but that could take at least a month to be processed. S has to travel to Croydon to sign with the Home Office and attend appointments, or will risk being detained. He can't afford to pay for this travel and has no income to buy food and other essentials, such as toiletries.
L, a single mum of four children, has been the victim of domestic violence and, whilst being relocated in several places around the country, has built up debts which could be written off with a bankruptcy. L works part-time and receives Universal Credit, and she would love to be able to start completely afresh without any debts hanging over her, or deductions for arrears taking money away from her limited budget. Are you able to contribute towards her bankruptcy fee of £680?
