Our client is a Ukrainian refugee who recently came to the UK with his family. He would like to pursue his career in Britain, but would need to translate and convert his degree into a UK certificate. As he is on a low income, he would not be able to do this without your help. Your kindness would make a huge difference in his life.
R and her daughter are Eritrean and have been on the move for seven years, trying to find a place of sanctuary. They are residents in York, settling into school and English classes. They have a flat, but need a TV and a table and chairs; modest provisions which will significantly improve their quality of life. These will also address mental health, language learning and integration, promoting social interaction and providing stability. These items play an essential role in helping to navigate challenges in life.
Our clients are a family of four who are new arrivals in Hull. Dad's mobile phone screen is broken and he does not have any money to pay for the repair. He needs his mobile phone to call his family back home and his children sometimes use it to play games, as they don't have a television. Dad will be happy to receive the financial help because it will make the children happy and improve the parents' mental health, due to being able to communicate with family members and friends.
