£0 remaining for a tumble dryer

S is a single parent going through a, thankfully amicable, divorce. However, money is extremely tight, due to separate housing and shared custody of their two children. With no garden, S relies heavily on the tumble dryer which has just packed up. A gift will facilitate the purchase of a reconditioned one as we move into the damper months.

£110 needed for taxis to and from hospital

This lady, who is on nightly kidney dialysis, is awaiting a kidney transplant. She is a positive person and unable to work, but volunteers (when able to) at the community hub. This lady had an important meeting with her specialist at a hospital some way from where she lives and, at the last minute, her normal lift was unable to help due to Covid. Despite asking different people, she had to get a taxi there and back which she cannot afford as she lives on Universal Credit. Please can we help her cover this cost?

£200 needed for two single bed frames

This client has seven children and one set of twins are currently sleeping on mattresses on the floor. They would really appreciate having bed frames in order to sleep more comfortably and to store items underneath. Their father died in the summer and the client is herself recovering from cancer. Mum is unable to afford the bed frames as she receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment benefit, due to her own health issues.

£200 needed for a refurbished fridge freezer

R, who has just started volunteering at his local church, is a young adult with severe learning difficulties who recently lost his mum who was also his carer and 'rock'. He was taken advantage of by a local drug gang and eventually helped by Social Services and moved to Sussex for his own protection. R is in supported housing, but because of his strict dietary and medical requirements, he would value his own fridge in his room. He cannot afford the appliance, as he is on basic Universal Credit and awaiting a Personal Independence Payment assessment.
