£0 remaining for a washing machine, a fridge and an oven
P, who is in a hostel following release from prison, is eager to rebuild his life and part of that will be moving into his own home. He has no family support and so will have to furnish the home on his own. P is currently on Universal Credit so has very limited funds. We would like to support him with a washing machine at a cost of £90, a fridge at a cost of £50 and an oven at a cost of £60.
Mum is an asylum seeking lady from Kuwait who is here with her two sons, aged ten and four years old. She has informed us that two of the rings on her cooker do not work and that the oven is broken, therefore, mum is finding it very difficult to cook meals for herself and her children. She is also worried about the safety of the cooker, as it is not working properly. Mum struggles to pay bills and secure food, therefore, she cannot afford to buy a new cooker. Please can you help?
G has been homeless for three months, following a relationship breakdown. She has been allocated a bungalow of her own and has been working with agencies to help furnish it with essentials, but is still in need of a fridge freezer. G is on Universal Credit so has limited income and would be extremely grateful if we could help her with this need. We have sourced a nearly new appliance which will really make a big difference to her food shopping budget and enable her to eat more fresh food. Thank you!
Our client is a single father to a six year old child. Following an intrusion into his house, he is in need of a replacement cooker and washing machine. He has been found to have limited capability to work, and is currently in receipt of Universal Credit, so is struggling with limited funds. Our client is suffering with mental health issues and, without a cooker to heat food and a washing machine to clean their clothes independently, this is further impacting his health and well-being.
