S is a single working parent who has been been working two jobs to support her household. The contract on her second job has now run out and she lives off one wage. She is claiming benefits, but they are asking her to find a new job to support the money she has lost from the second job. S needs to find any job that will give her money and work around being a mum. Her washing machine has now stopped working and she does not have the money to afford this with the drop in her wages at this time.
Our client, who was in an abusive relationship, left her ex-partner two years ago with the support of East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services and the police. She has one child, aged five years old. Our client is struggling with her mental health, has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and is now getting treatment and support from her GP and the Mental Health team. She has massive debts and her only income is benefits. Our client would like to have a fresh start by applying for a Debt Relief Order to clear all her debt.
