£0 remaining for a washing machine
Our applicant is a teenager living with his mum who suffers severely with her mental health and is unable to work. He would like to help his mum by raising some funds to put towards a second-hand washing machine. This teenager has been referred by the special school that he attends. What a wonderful gesture from a son to think of others.
This family of five have recently been moved from temporary into permanent accommodation, but with no furniture at all, and are on a very low income. They have managed to obtain beds for the children, but the parents are sleeping on a mattress on the floor. They have a cooker, but their biggest concern is not being able to keep food fresh, so a fridge freezer would be a wonderful and useful help in feeding and nourishing the family.
