£0 remaining for heating oil
This lady and her husband are new Christians Against Poverty debt clients who are struggling on a low income. This is the result of her husband developing heart problems and arthritis, making it impossible for him to work and causing her to work longer hours. Recently, they discovered that their oil tank had leaked into the garden of their rented house, causing the loss of 300 litres of oil which they cannot afford to replace. Your gift will help them heat their house without increasing their use of expensive electricity.
V, who lives with her young teenage son, is on a limited income. Due to ill health, she suffers from night sweats and both her clothes and bed clothes need washing daily. Her son's school uniform and sports gear also need washing on a regular basis. V's washing machine broke down recently and, due to her limited resources, she has been unable to purchase a replacement. Any amount raised will go towards helping her purchase a new washing machine.
J, who struggles with poor mental health and works sixteen hours per week, is reliant on Universal Credit. J and his partner have spilt up, but share custody of their children, aged six and fourteen years old, and he pays a substantial amount of money towards his children's care. J struggles with interacting with people. He is currently using a launderette or machines at the local garage. This is expensive, but cheaper weekly than buying a machine. The family are currently supported by our social supermarket and are engaging positively. Please can you help?
