£0 remaining for rent and energy costs
This young mum came to our social supermarket for the first time this year when the cost of living crisis hit her family budget hard. Her rent has gone up by 40%, leaving her with little funds each month, and her energy bills are in arrears. Mum is trying to pay everything, but ends up juggling. She has two girls, under five years of age, and the stress is causing her anxiety and ill health. Mum broke down in tears in the shop as she has no spare money for her daughter's birthday! Please can we help to reduce her rent and energy cost debts?
This lady has a six year old child and is pregnant, but her relationship has broken down and she is sharing a home with her mother. She receives Universal credit and Child Benefit, and has accrued a very large debt with her energy provider which she is paying off monthly. This lady is also buying baby gear each month so has no spare money. Now her cooker has broken and she cannot provide hot meals for the family. Please can you help us deliver a reconditioned one with a warranty to her? Thank you.
J has thankfully been housed in a Housing Association property, but has no curtains/poles or flooring. He has been suffering with poor physical and mental health, and has been unable to work for sometime. J is struggling on his benefit only income and cannot afford to make his house a home. Living without curtains and flooring is not helping his health. Could you please consider helping this gentleman to make his home feel more private and safe with some funds towards curtains and poles? Thank you.
This single mum of a two year old son lost her partner in a tragic motor cycle accident when she was five months pregnant. She rents privately in a rural location and is currently claiming benefits, although she is trying to return to her career as a freelance copywriter. Mum's phone is vital as it is her means of managing her benefits, undertaking financial transactions, day to day planning and communicating with distant friends. The phone now needs repairing and the estimated cost is about £80. Please can you help?
