£0 remaining for a washing machine, cabinets, chest of drawers and storage boxes
K, a single mum of six children, has been rehoused from a mouldy and overcrowded property and has been offered a four bedroom house for her and the family. K is on a low income and receives Universal Credit, which is not enough to look after the children and furnish her new home at the same time. She had some furniture from the old house and some from friends, but is in need of a washing machine, cabinets, chest of drawers and storage boxes to help set up her new home.
S, who worked with us last year to go debt free, has been saving and managing her money much better. She was proud she had bought Christmas Presents, kept the house warm and had not gone into debt, very different to previous years. Her washing machine has just broken and, as she has not been able to save up again, is currently having to take her washing to her mum's house, who she helps look after, following a stroke. S is finding this difficult as she doesn't drive and it's taking a toll on her mental health.
This request is for a young mum with four children, under the age of seven, and another one on the way. Her washing machine has broken down and she is desperately trying to manage the amount of washing required to keep her children’s clothes clean. At the moment, this young mum is struggling to get to her parents' home to use their machine. Your support will really ease her situation.
This single mum, who is caring for her five children, is struggling with her mental health. Mum can feel so low at times that she struggles to clean and tidy her home. We are hoping to help mum to clean and tidy the family home and would love to be able to provide the family with two wardrobes. Mum is struggling financially. Could you please help this family and struggling mum by blessing her with storage furniture? Thank you.
