Y has complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) and has been suffering for twenty years with the symptoms. They received a diagnosis around seven years ago and, unfortunately, medication hasn't helped. They know therapy would be very helpful for them, have been on a waiting list and have finally accessed a service who are able to supply them with specialised therapy at a reduced rate. Y is going to be paying half of this weekly rate and the remainder with this donation. This amount will provide counselling for forty weeks.
R, who has been engaging with us for the past two years, has completed his coffee training and certification and now has a part-time job in a church café. He was living in a homeless hostel for over two years and has recently been able to move into a flat. R is starting to look at other jobs, and a passport for ID would be really helpful. Although he is working part time, he does not have income to support this, on top of sorting his flat and day-to-day expenses.
L, who has been engaging with us for the past six months, was referred by a friend and has been attending our Barista training programme. He has been very quick to learn the new skills and is now going to complete a voluntary placement with a local café. L would like to complete his external certification.
