£0 remaining for flooring
Safe Families are supporting this mum whose four year old daughter is currently in foster care due to concerns around home conditions. Mum has worked hard to improve her house and create a home for her daughter to return to. She is reliant on benefits and has used this money to buy furniture for her daughter's bedroom, but is unable to purchase new flooring in time for the next review. Mum would love to have this in place so that her daughter can return to her care.
This request is on behalf of a complex young lady who has previously been in care and is currently supported as part of the local authority Leaving Care service. She is due her first baby (a boy) next week and is moving into her new home with the local authority before Christmas. This young lady has been aided Key community for two years and has progressed so well, growing in confidence. This property requires carpets throughout, so therefore, your support would be massively appreciated.
This young person found himself in Young Men's Christian Accommodation after becoming homeless. A charity found him a property; however, he has no furniture. This young person is in need of a sofa, bedding, a coffee table and a television stand. He has very little support from anyone at this crucial time in his life. These items would make a massive, life changing difference to his future. Thank you for helping this decent young person who just wants to be like everyone else
L, who previously had a leak downstairs due to a burst pipe when the weather was freezing, could not afford to have her heating on at her property which has left her with a cold concrete floor. The kitchen area and downstairs toilet have been like this for some years. L has physical and mental health issues and is unable to work. Her benefits and low income make it impossible for her to save up to get this work completed.
