£0 remaining for a cooker
D has a history of homelessness and other support needs. She has been living in supported (furnished) accommodation for the past year. She has now secured a tenancy of her own, but it is unfurnished and she has no furniture of her own. D is on benefits and has a limited income, making it difficult for her to afford much more than her basic living costs. A cooker would mean that she could feed herself properly, and would be a fantastic first step in ensuring that her tenancy is a success.
S, who has very little benefit income and is living off £160 per month, due to current sanctions, struggles with psychosis and severe anxiety. He has been managing with a kettle and microwave for the last five years, but he has been advised to try to eat a healthier diet to improve his mental health. However, this is impossible with only a microwave, and he also can't afford microwave meals. If we could get S a cooker, it would start to improve his quality of life significantly. Please could you help?
W is a single mum to a young daughter. Her daughter's bed is in a very poor condition and not fit for sleeping on, but W has a limited income and can't afford to replace it. Your help to replace her daughter's bed would make a huge difference to the family.
K, who has been living in temporary accommodation, has just been offered a housing association flat of her own, but it is unfurnished and she has no furniture of her own. K has a low income and can't afford to purchase much herself. A cooker would really help her as she moves into her now home, meaning she can cook and eat healthily and affordably, helping her to save towards other items she needs.
