£0 remaining for shoes
Mum and her two teenage children have recently moved to a new area and need two new school uniforms. Although Mum has got a job it is very low paid and she can't afford the school uniforms, shoes and PE shoes. She has researched medium priced shoes herself and these come at £40 a pair. She knows she will have to replace cheaper ones again soon so would like to avoid this. Safe Families would love to bless the children with a pair of PE shoes for school each.
M is an asylum seeker whose phone is in need of repair as it currently does no longer works, due to water damage. He relies heavily on the use of his phone for translation aid, along with contacting his solicitor, the Home Office and other agencies regarding his asylum claim. Please can you help?
This family are asylum seekers from Afghanistan who arrived in Newcastle yesterday. They have some limited furniture and beds, but no toaster and, crucially, no television for the children to watch. Their carpets are very dirty and the little girl has already got a nasty rash which they feel is due to the dirty carpets. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Mum is a single mum to three children aged 8, 7 and 2. Since needing to separate from her partner she has not been able to work due to childcare costs and has no family to support her. She has a very limited income. She requires a new stroller for her 2 year old as she outgrew her previous one and the hope with the new one is that it will be long lasting. The family don't have a car and live a long walk away from their closest bus stop so this will enable to family to get easier access to the bus.
