£0 remaining for carpet fitting
L, who is twenty one years old, has just moved into her first property. She claims Universal Credits, has no savings and has been struggling to afford the main essentials for her house. L has been sleeping on the floor, as she has no bed, even though there is no flooring throughout the house. We have been able to provide a new bed and washing machine, and are hoping, with the help of Acts 435, to be able to help carpet her house. Please can you help with the fitting costs?
We are working closely with a local primary school to support a mum of small children who has been relocated to Bradford from London and has no local family support. Financially, they are struggling and her tenancy agreement does not include an oven, so this is her responsibility, but without the means to find one. Mum opened up about this need at a parent café the school runs to support families.
D is a single mum of two children who isn't working due to ill health, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), severe anxiety and depression. Her only income is Universal Credit, and she has no savings or family to support her. D has no carpets in her lounge and children's bedroom. We have an offer of free carpets, but we just need some kindly Acts 435 donors to help with the fitting costs, which will transform this family's life.
M is a refugee who fled her home country as she was going to be subjected to FGM. She has been living in a hotel for the last year but has now been offered a property. She desperately needs carpets and other white goods as her income is low, she has no savings and no family. We have a kind offer of free flooring, we just need help with the fitting costs. Could one of our amazing Acts donors help us?
