£150 remaining for essential travel cost for vulnerable young person
The applicant is a young person from Syria who arrived in UK as an unaccompanied minor. He has no recourse to public funds or access to Home Office financial support, due to his immigration status. He urgently requires some funding to cover the cost of travel expenses by bus to the Home Office where he needs to report every two weeks, as well as to the college. This support would also allow him to travel by train to his solicitors' offices for the next two to three months.
This single mum, a Syrian refugee, and her nine month old son have no family or friends in the UK. Now awarded the right to remain and provided a flat, mum feels happy and grateful with her freedom and safety. S is studying and can't wait to start work when her son starts nursery. Her flat was completely empty and, as she was unable to fund the furnishings, we were able help provide furniture. S is unable to pay for flooring and has only concrete floors. With winter coming, she would love flooring. Please can you help?
