£175 remaining for a bike, lock and helmet
N is a young lady who lives in our supported accommodation and would really benefit from having a bike to access college, part-time work and appointments more easily. She also needs a good quality bike lock and helmet. N currently is on Universal Credit so has little income or much of a support network to help her afford one otherwise. Your donations would be greatly appreciated.
This refugee family, consisting of two parents and three children from Afghanistan, have been placed in a house locally and are having to set up home from scratch. Local churches have donated many items to them, but they are still in need of a vacuum cleaner, a wardrobe and two chest of drawers so that they can keep their house in good order. At the moment, clothes have to be stacked on the floors, for which they borrow a vacuum cleaner. Your gifts will help them to live with dignity.
This family have recently arrived in England, from Nigeria, with very little. They have two young children, aged four and six. Dad has a job which he is due to start soon, but will have to wait for his wage and, even then, it will be a low income for a family of four. Mum is looking for work, but has childcare issues. They are just settling into a new country and are in need of a washing machine as the launderette is expensive, especially with young children.
D moved to the UK five years ago with her husband and two adult children. Since being in the UK, her mental health has deteriorated, leading to two recent stays in a psychiatric unit. D has been unable to work, which has resulted in the family struggling financially. Her husband is verbally abusive and cruel to her, blaming her for the family's situation, and does not allow her to buy clothes. We would like to buy D some shoes and clothes, and bless the family with an iron and some towels.
