£90 remaining for school uniforms
This family of refugees includes five children, four of whom are starting school very soon. The children need uniforms, shoes, PE kits, rucksacks and pencil cases, but the family has no money to buy these for them. We are asking for £200 for school uniforms. Thank you so much for your help.
This refugee family, consisting of two parents and three children from Afghanistan, have been placed in a house locally and are having to set up home from scratch. Local churches have donated many items to them, but they are still in need of a vacuum cleaner, a wardrobe and two chest of drawers so that they can keep their house in good order. At the moment, clothes have to be stacked on the floors, for which they borrow a vacuum cleaner. Your gifts will help them to live with dignity.
M is a single mother who is being rehoused, due to her ex-partner stalking and harassing her and her nine year old son. They are being placed in another town in an unfurnished flat. Although M can bring some furniture and appliances with her, the flat has no carpets at all and, as she is on benefits, she cannot afford any floor coverings. With your generosity, we would love to be able to afford to buy and install a carpet for her son's room.
SE, a past domestic violence victim, is registered disabled and suffers from Meniere's Disease, low moods and depression. She struggles to leave the house some days, and is on anti-sickness tablets daily to help with her extreme vertigo. SE is single and has a little job at a café, doing light duties, but struggles to go in some weeks. Her boss is understanding. SE has been advised that a thick, firm, orthopaedic mattress will help her condition and a thicker pillow will help with her vertigo.
