£105 remaining for energy bills
This lovely family have, through no fault of their own, found themselves in financial hardship and need support to pay towards energy bills. They have recently been granted refugee status and are grappling with a system they cannot navigate. Please would you consider donating to this family? Any support is greatly appreciated and needed. Thank you.
A, who has two children, aged twelve and fourteen, is caring for her mum who is recovering from ovarian cancer. The eldest has a diagnosis of attention deficit disorder (ADD) and is having daily nosebleeds, and the youngest has speech dyspraxia and autism. A became homeless last year and was placed in a house with mould. It is taking four days to dry clothes, due to not being able to put the heating on for health. A is in receipt of Universal Credit, Carers Allowance and Disability Living Allowance (for the children). We are requesting support for a tumble dryer for this family.
M is a lone parent of three children as his wife left him several years ago. Without regular child maintenance, he struggled to keep up with mortgage payments as interest rates rose and his house was repossessed. He is currently "sofa surfing" and, as a result, he has to travel long distances to get his children to school. He is reliant on benefits, and he has not been able to replace his children's clothes which are now worn out and ill fitting. A voucher for £200 would allow him to buy warm clothes for each of his children as winter approaches.
J is a single man who has been living in supported accommodation. He is on a considerable amount of medication for schizophrenia, anxiety, and arthritis in his legs. He is moving to council housing which is completely empty. J is excited about his move, but has no furniture, and as he is only in receipt of Employment Support Allowance he is unable to afford any. We are requesting support for an oven for when he moves.
