£0 remaining for a mini oven
This student, who attends our food pantry, shared that she does not have an oven or hob to cook with. She is currently living in a small place with a kitchen that is too small for a normal size oven. Due to being an Open University student, the benefits she receives are very low. We have helped top-up the gas and electricity. We have enquired about family help and have discovered that there is no immediate extended family to help. Please can you help this student to get a mini oven?
This single mum is caring for her two children and her daughter was recently returned to her care, following a period of time in foster care. The family has recently moved and mum is working really hard to make the house into a home. The family doesn't have a washing machine and mum, who is struggling financially, is relying on friends to keep on top of her and her children's clothes. Please could you help to provide a washing machine for the family as they make a fresh start? Thank you.
D and his partner have separated and are co-parenting their two little girls, always putting them first. Dad works on a zero hours and minimum wage contact, so never knows how much his wage will be from week to week. He has had an electrician out to look at his cooker, as the oven is not working, and the cooker has been condemned. Please could you help D to replace the cooker, as he has no other way of cooking for the children? The appliance shop where the electrician works can do a great deal. Thank you!
