£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
P has been struggling to find work as a machinery worker since being made redundant several months ago. His fridge freezer recently broke down and he can't afford to get a new one, so he can't keep food fresh and, therefore, isn't eating well. P would be incredibly grateful if you could help him buy a replacement.
M, a client of ours who is actively working with Crosslight to get his debts in check, has two part-time jobs and is dad to three teenage children. The children had two laptops, but both of them have stopped working and, as a result, the children have to stay late at school to do their homework. We are applying for your support with £200 to cover the cost of a laptop for them to share and a contribution towards the new software they will require for it.
J is 62 with disabilities; she is medically retired and working with us to get help with her rent arrears. She had been living with her father until he passed away in 2021. The council moved her to a smaller property, but she wasn’t given any help with benefits nor claiming the benefits she was entitled to. We are helping her get the benefits she is entitled to in place. A donation would help her pay for food and utilities whilst we do this, as she has been going without food to pay bills.
G, who has been ill with various illnesses that have come about as a result of poor accommodation, has to be careful about which jobs he applies for because he cannot do strenuous work. He has felt let down in the past and now that he has found organisations that are supporting him, he is looking to the future. G's debts are now nearly under control, but he is finding it hard without a working mobile phone. Please can you support him with £90 for a Smart phone so that he can keep up to date with emails, job searches and finances? This would be a huge help to G and give him a much better quality of life.
