£0 remaining for a washing machine
C has been supported with food from the foodbank over the last years, as she has poor physical health and family issues which have caused poor financial health. She was very emotional, as her washing machine had broken and flooded her kitchen. C has no funds available to buy a new machine. We are looking for £200 towards the new item and we will add to this to allow a new machine to be bought and fitted. Thank you for your kindness.
This gentleman is a long-term user of our services, relying on us for both food and mental health support. He faces significant mental health challenges, is unable to work, and has a history of homelessness, bearing physical and mental scars. St Vincent de Paul is his only trusted support network, as he finds traditional services intimidating and has a history of non-engagement. We are urgently requesting a washing machine so this gentleman can manage his personal hygiene with clean clothes.
Mum and dad are parents to two young children and have been working closely with the Red Cross to move away from debt and food poverty. Unfortunately, significant medical and mental health issues for mum, and medical issues for dad and some of the children, have not made this easy. As everything was starting to get more stable financially, their washing machine suddenly broke beyond repair. This request is to fund a basic, but suitable replacement for the family. Thank you for helping.
This woman has been sleeping rough for months. Despite having accommodation, she was unable to stay there after witnessing her partner’s overdose and death in the property, leading to severe trauma. She has been working hard on recovery and her own determination to overcome addiction, and she is now back in the property. However, she urgently needs a double bed and mattress, as she currently sleeps on the floor, which is affecting her mental health and rehabilitation progress.
