£0 remaining for a sofa, dining table, TV and TV table
J, who has been sofa surfing since his release from prison, has finally been offered a flat of his own, but he will be starting with nothing. The council will offer a white goods package for him, but no other help with furniture. We would like to buy him a sofa,(£100), a dining table (£30), a TV Table (£10) and a TV (£60). Your support would be much appreciated.
I am supporting a client who suffers from Noonan syndrome, a genetic disorder which causes a wide range of health issues. Struggling financially, his condition makes it impossible to work and he has found himself without cooking facilities. We would like to help him get a cooker to enable him to cook a warm meal. I have helped support my client with a new disability benefit claim that will help his finances to improve in the near future. All support will be greatly appreciated.
This family of six (elderly grandparents, parents and two children) are asylum seekers from Afghanistan. They have very little resources and we are reaching out to you for help. The elderly grandparents speak almost no English and are feeling very isolated. This is impacting on their mental health and they have limited mobility so it is hard for them to get out. They would like a television so that they can watch their religious channels.
This lady's nine year old grandson has come to live with her as her daughter is in an abusive relationship but won't/can't leave her partner. The grandson has some on-going medical health concerns and his nanna doesn't have a bed for him to sleep in so he is currently sharing with her. The money is to buy a single bed and mattress (including delivery) for her grandson. This lady was working three jobs, but has had to give up one so she can take care of her grandson, which has impacted her income.
