This single, 57 year old Christians Against Poverty client lives alone in his home, mortgage free. M is currently unable to work due to his severe anxiety and depression. Universal Credit is his only income, and so he is unable to afford the replacement of two appliances that have broken. In order to save money he doesn't use his oven, so these are key appliances for him.
This gentleman, who moved area over a year ago, has found himself in financial hardship and unable to afford furniture for his home. His basic pension covers his rent and bills and he is often short before the end of the month. This gentleman has kidney failure and needs to attend hospital dialysis sessions three times a week. With your kind donations we want to provide him with a sofa.
This lady, who is the sole carer for her four children, lives in a small twelfth floor flat with no lift access. There is no carpet at all in the two bedrooms and the carpet in the living areas is very old and worn. The youngest child is less than one year old and still at the crawling stage, so having a clean carpet to move around on would be a huge benefit to this child and to their siblings. Her local St Vincent de Paul society will top-up funds to get new carpet for the whole flat.
D is a member of our local community who is in receipt of Employment and Support Allowance. He has recently moved into shared accommodation, following a split with his partner, but unfortunately doesn't have his own bedroom furniture. D really needs a double bed and mattress for his room, plus some curtains, a bedside table and a double blanket. D would be very grateful for any donations towards these items at this difficult time, both personally and financially.
