A is a single mother who has resettled in the UK from Afghanistan in the last 12 months. She has two young toddlers and currently has quite an old buggy which is very heavy and causing her back pain having to lift it on her own. Therefore a single buggy and buggy board would make her life a lot easier and be a real blessing. A currently receives Universal Credit so has a very low income.
C has three children aged eleven years, eight years and eight months. The eleven year old is autistic and awaiting a diagnosis to receive support. C has had thyroid cancer and also has anxiety and mental health concerns. She receives Universal Credit which is not sufficient to cover basic costs. They are in one bedroom temporary accommodation, but will be moved to a property which is completely empty. There is currently no flooring and so we are seeking for your support to carpet the children's bedroom.
MR, who has severe debts, suffers from anxiety, grief and asthma. Her husband recently died unexpectedly and she has no income as yet. Her two sons, who are living with her, have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Autism. MR is awaiting a Housing and Benefits claims. Her husband's funeral bill arrived on 24th Nov 2024 and Christians Against Poverty is working on a debt plan, but interest will be added to the funeral costs if unpaid within 30 days. L is a single mum with five children aged fourteen, thirteen, nine and one. The fourteen year old has autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and mum receives Universal Credit and Carers Allowance. Nine months ago the family had to relocate thirty miles away due to domestic abuse. The children kept attending school, so L was unable to save due to the cost of the school run. They are now moving back closer to their family support network, but the accommodation is totally empty. L is seeking help for second-hand beds for her fourteen and thirteen year old children.
