Our client, who is fifty four years old and has a son aged twelve, has just been given custody of her eleven year old grandson due to her daughter having issues with drugs and alcohol. B has tried so hard to support her daughter, but she knows she now has to put the boys first. Currently her grandson is sleeping on a blow-up mattress on her son's bedroom floor At a tight squeeze, our client will be able to put another bed in the bedroom, but cannot afford one out of her part-time wages. Please could you help?
C is a single lady who lost her only child a while ago. She has been struggling with ill health and been unable to work. Due to this, C has fallen short on her gas and electric bill as she needs to keep warm at the moment. She is getting better now, but has been advised to go back to work on a part-time basis. C is now worried that she will not be able to sort the arrears from her utility bill. She needs support for the debt, as well as bus tickets to get her to work for this month until she gets her next payment.
D is in a relationship with a man who treats her very badly. He is refusing to move out of her flat, does not pay towards any bills or food, and D is frightened of him. We have managed to get her housing provider to offer her support in having him removed. D is living on her nerves at the moment and is desperate for him to go. She suffers with her mental health, is very vulnerable and is unable to work. D`s fridge freezer has not worked for some time and she cannot afford to replace it.
N is a single mum who is struggling financially and is is on restricted payments from Universal Credit. The child's grandma is prioritising food and essentials in the home for the child. At the moment, the child’s bed is broken at one end and is being propped up, but is really not safe. The bedding is damp, due to damp room conditions. Grandma cannot help anymore than she is already doing. Please can you help?
