£0 remaining for a Tesco voucher and an Oyster card top-up
FK has recently received his asylum status and is in the process of organising housing, benefits and work. However, whilst he is transitioning to his new benefits, he will no longer be receiving support from the Home Office and will, therefore, have no means to buy food, travel and other daily necessities. We would like to buy him a £60 Tesco voucher and provide a £20 Oyster card top-up so that he can support himself for two weeks while he waits to receive Universal Credit.
T was assaulted three years ago, which resulted in pregnancy and her losing her job and rented home, and becoming homeless while heavily pregnant. T and her daughter, who is now two years old, have constantly been moved between different homeless accommodations. Where they have now been placed has cracked tiles everywhere on the floor, which is unsafe for her daughter. T spent the last of her money on a moving van and would like help with a carpet. Having somewhere decent to live will help T rebuild her life.
R is a single divorced parent with children aged from six to twenty one years of age. She receives minimal financial assistance from her ex-husband and, although she is in part-time employment, still really struggles and receives Universal Credit. The youngest four children are all at school, the eldest of whom is fourteen. They need access to computer facilities at home on a daily basis. We are aware that your support will not cover the full cost, but it will be a substantial help.
N, who has been battling poor mental health and is really winning, has part-time employment and is doing well at work. She has taken charge of her physical and mental health too and we are so proud! N is now earning enough to move out of an emotionally abusive home, but needs kitchen and bathroom supplies. She got a lot of items from jumble sales, but needs a microwave, kettle and toaster set and some pans for the kitchen, a duvet cover, pillowcase and bed sheet for her bed, and a toilet brush, bathroom bin and other bathroom necessities which she cannot afford on her tight budget. N is so kind and supportive of others, she just needs a little kindness now to help her succeed.
