£0 remaining for a mattress and single bed frame
C has three children aged eleven years, eight years and eight months. The eleven year old is autistic and awaiting a diagnosis to receive support. Mum has had thyroid cancer and also has anxiety and mental health concerns. She receives Universal Credit which is not sufficient to cover basic costs. They are in one bedroom temporary accommodation, but will be moved to a property which is completely empty. We are seeking support for a bed for the eight year old that will give them a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
S is a client of Christians Against Poverty (CAP). The door of her freezer is broken, and is currently propped up so her food is not kept frozen properly. She cannot afford to replace her fridge freezer, as she is struggling with debts after her husband left her. She has three children, two of whom are Autistic. Your support would be much appreciated.
This lady is one of our foodbank clients and in receipt of Universal Credit. She is currently out of employment while she focusses on her recovery from addiction. Her electric cooker has stopped working and she does not have enough money with which to replace it. She wants to continue eating as healthily as possible and having cooking facilities at home will help towards this. She would be very grateful if you could help contribute towards the cost of a new cooker. Thank you!
This gentleman is disabled and living in rented accommodation on benefits and with no savings. We recently helped him get a laptop to enable him to keep in contact and complete online forms. He now advises that his fridge freezer is not working properly and can’t be repaired. He is asking for your support to be able to afford a replacement.
