£200 remaining for vinyl floor covering
This lady was involved in an accident which has resulted in her having limited mobility. Her current flat has no floor covering and so it is dusty. She does not have the ability to be able to clean and so requires floor covering to reduce the amount of dust coming in through the floorboards. This lady is unable to purchase flooring herself, as the accident has left her unable to work.
J, a single mum with four children aged fifteen, thirteen, eight and one, is receiving Universal Credit and Child Benefit. Her fifteen year old daughter is autistic with severe mental health concerns. She has not been attending school, awaiting an Education Health & Care Plan. J secured a house transfer to be closer to school, but the house is in poor condition with no flooring. She also has mental health conditions and post traumatic stress disorder. We are requesting support towards flooring in the daughter's bedroom.
R, a young, single mother with a small baby, is currently relying on basic benefit income through Universal Credit and is experiencing financial hardship. She has recently been housed and, although she has a fridge with a small freezer compartment, this is filled with milk for her young baby and mum has nowhere to store frozen food for herself. R would appreciate help to purchase a small freezer.
C has three children aged eleven years, eight years and eight months old. The eleven year old is autistic and awaiting a diagnosis to receive support. C, who has had thyroid cancer, has anxiety and mental health concerns. She receives Universal Credit which is not sufficient to cover basic costs. They are in one bedroom temporary accommodation, but will be moved to a property which is completely empty. The eleven year old needs a bed particularly urgently, given their additional needs, so we are seeking support for a bed and mattress for this child.
